Met up with Jim and Ryan to really work the same construction site I had already visited twice earlier in the week (hence part 3 of this hunt). Pulled a nice 1917 Mercury Dime right near where I found the IH on Friday. Moved over to the "other" side of the construction site and found half a thimble (my 1st ever) followed by a nice but plain buckle. Soon after that I was surprised to dig another thimble but while this one was crushed, it was whole. Eye-balled another clay pipe stem with "G L" stamped into the side along with some glass/porcelain buttons. Overall a fun morning with friends and a great site that has produced well. Research pays off!

Ben sweet stuff! I found out today that they in fact are NOT building houses back there but doing some kind of enviromental wetlands project. There actually gonna take ANOTHER 8 foot of dirt out and fill it back in or something. There was a farmhouse back there too. Explains all the pipe stems and pottery. Might be worth another try when they fill it back. :icon_thumleft:

Nice Mercury dime... That's pretty old for a Merc. All of the ones that I have found have been in the 40's. Good job...
