But was my just dessert for the day. I found it around where I found the Indian head the other day. The other stuff is a metal ring. A piece of hard metal with a hole in it, I can't bend it. The piece of rifle shell that says Western 12 - 16 on it. I figure you hunters out there might know what that means. A big round metal thing that got bent and not shown is a simular round metal thing but didn't have a flat end on it, it was burried around a foot down. Thought I might of found the mother lode.

Get a Whitman coin folder, and then search for the early wheat penny. Then you will understand the Herculean task that you have undertaken.

The early wheat in good condition is to be treasured.

The dirty penny is our bread and butter.

Thank you Pleh. I'll look for some. That makes 25 for the year and 30 the past two years. I found one older then that (1915 D) down the road at an old church. I'm hoping to get a few more days in before the end of the year.
