1920D Buffalo, How should I clean it?

Last weekend I went out and found my first buffalo nickel. So far I have just been letting it sit out. I don't have any ideas on how to clean nickels without damaging them. I know its not worth much, but I'd just like to have it nice and clean to look at. It has an orangish color, sort of like rust. This is the only picture I have, if anyone wants to see more just let me know. If anyone has any ideas or techniques you've used in the past, please let me know. Any help is appreciated.
