Found my 2nd indian head ever, which was a surprise as I thought it might have been a zincoln. It came up 34-35 signal. Was pleases to find a readable buffalo and a few more wheaties. Two silver dimes rounded out the day. Well, except for the very old chinese coin at 10 inches. Have no idea how that ended up in the backyard.

Congratualtions on the nice hunt! :occasion14:

Couple of silver and an IHP I’d say that’s a good day.

Add a buff and some wheats=FUN!

On the indians, always dig zincolns when deep, or in an area that could hold the older coins. IHP's tend to sound like zincolns. My guess is that they've been corroded longer and just give a poor signal for a copper cent. This experience is very normal.
OR!, dig all zincolns, period. I have a 24k gold pendant that I thought was just a penny so you never know what is gonna come out until you dig it.
