If anyone has any thoughts on what the scrap of silver might've been part of...? I might have it upside down but it is very thin and was crumpled up almost like foil/canslaw

key date canadian penny!

Since it is Monogramed, I would guess it’s a Broach? Great finds! Congrats!

Congrats!
TFS and HH!

Very nice silver piece, and as you probably knew, the 1923 Canadian cent is the key to the King George V small cent series. (The 1936 dot is a questionable mint product like our 1913 nickel.)

Nice assortment of finds Whitey9457. Thanks for sharing...

Great finds. Can't go wrong with a silver whatsit.

Well rounded hunt, gold, silver, and a key date copper. Congrats
What's the other side of the silver piece look like, might be easier to ID.

You did well congrats on some nice finds

Nice finds. I would be very happy with them. I found a tiny ring like that one, but it turned out to be gold plated. I have very small hands and it will not even go on my pinky. Wonder if it could be a child's ring? But no, looks like a wedding band. At least mine does.

Nice old Canadian penny. I love older Canadian coins!

Hello Whitey9457. Nice finds all...that scrap of silver you got is far-out. Maybe part of an old hair brush or mirror. Good Luck out there. C9

I like that silver thing, it must be well over 100 years old based on the elaborate workmanship. My guess is its part of a match safe. :occasion14:

Sorry about the delay. Here are a few more photos of the silver thing. You can see it is very thin. Not much thicker than an aluminum can. It was folded into thirds when i found it and I unfolded it. It was fairly shallow right next to a sidewalk in an old park where i've found a handful of coins from 1890-1920s. Old racetrack/campground.thumbnail (1).webpthumbnail.webp
