1942 Merc at a closed school

Went to a closed school earlier this year and found my first silver coin! I have hunted here a few times before and typically find 1970s coins so this was quite the surprize. I also found a padlock by Silver Lynx. HH!

Congrats on your first silver. Mercs are a great coin to dig. I know its a long shot, but check the date very closely. It could be the 1942/1 error coin. You will clearly see the 1 underneath the 2.
