Hello everyone!
Ron & I took a road trip up North today to do some detecting! I
accidently missed the exit to Corvallis, so we cruised around Albany for
a while to look for the old neighborhood. We parked by an old school
built in 1915 and walked around to find some places to hunt. In Albany
I dug a couple wheat cents, but that was all. After an hour or so we jumped
back in the car and drove to Corvallis. We did better there! Here's
what I dug today:
1944-S Mercury dime
1948-S Roosevelt dime
1905 Indian Head cent
1916 Buffalo nickel
17 wheat cents ~ 1915 to 1957
3 clad quarters
9 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
36 Memorial cents
Both of the silver dimes were among iron nails.
I took close-up pictures of the date area on the 1915-S Wheat cents and
1916 Buffalo nickel.
We had another great day of detecting! WOOHOO!!
Neil
