Hi there!
I got out today for a couple hours with my buddy Ron to do some metal detecting ~ we met up near the University of Oregon. Didn't do too bad for hunting areas that have been hunted hard over the last several years. 1948 Lane County Oregon Dog Tax tag, 1927-D Mercury dime, 1960-D Rosie dime, 1945-S War nickel, 6 wheats dating from 1930 to 1953, and some of clad.
I'm especially excited over the old Dog Tax tag . . . . this the first one I've dug in quite a while . . . . . and I've recently started buying old dog tax tags and old dog license tags to collect as a hobby. It's a great hobby! Also, I've recently joined ISALC (International Society of Animal License Collectors) . . . . and I bought Bill Bones' book U.S. DOG LICENSE TAGS. It's a mazing hom many pre-1900 tags there are out there! Too bad I haven't found any, YET anyway!
Thanks for looking!
Neil
