was detecting local beach today, and found these....

two German coins.... 1- 1949 10pfennig, and 1-1950 10pfennig. in fairly descent condition considering they where in the sand.
also...
two Yugoslavian coins..... 2-1965 1 dinar.. these coins are in good condition.

here is a picture.
it was neat to find them, and considering the dates, and the fact Yugoslavia is no longer a nation, and the German coins are
from the post ww11 era.

The earliest You can find! The "Reichsmark" was used till 1948 and after that we had a currency reform and it was called "Deutsche Mark". Until 1950 some coins have "Bank Deutscher Laender" on them. They are relatively rare.

thanks for the information, "westfront" the 49' is the bank of "Deutscherlander" coin, so that is cool, to find it on the beach in florida!
the other coin is 1950, and has "Bundersrepublik Deutschland" on it... neat find, I enjoy the research on the coins found! it is the fun to this hobby. of course I am new to this, and have yet to find gold, so that might be more fun? for now, I am happy with my finds thus far!
HH. and thanks again for the info!
