I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Msjabo! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Texas for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

I'm not yet seeing the error , it looks like post mint nicks and dings to me ...

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your find

I can't tell if this is a legitimate post or not. Obviously PMD. :icon_scratch:

Thank you ill try posting better pic. But at the middle that leaf. Wraps around clear to the top. I thought they were digs to until I look closer the 3 to 4 leafs that was missing from the wheat is at the edge

Sorry, but that little piece of copper has taken a lot of hits over the years. There is no visible evidence of anything "extra" on the wheat stalk. There is more than ample evidence of this coin having a lot of "wear and tear" over the decades.

The question to ask yourself is this: How could what I see on this coin have happened during the manufacturing of this coin?

Time for coffee.

Well said galenrog...on my 2nd cup

Always time for more coffee. Until 6pm. I'll still use the phrase, though.

Welcome to tnet its good to always look for errors take it to a coin dealer is the best net. I have found many errors are wear but some are not I hope it is an error coin!!!!!!!!!!!1

I would think that if there was a die shift or a double die then the U and the O would be seen doubled into the wheat stalk. I would say it is post mint smearing of the raised wheat stalk due to rough handling.

PMD---- rode hard for too many years
