My wife just found a 1978 50 Lire coin in our local Coinstar today. Looks exactly like your 1959.

My wife just found a 1978 50 Lire coin in our local Coinstar today. Looks exactly like your 1959.

They looked like that until they were replaced with the euro. The post WW2 lira was only around for about 55 years.
