Definitely do not try to clean or polish them, leave them as they are. You didn't do too bad with the price of silver as it is, keep them and if the price of silver continues to rise you will have made a good investment.

Thanks for the reply cutler. I appreciate the advice. Thanks again.

Wait a second....

Did you say that you bought SIXTEEN half dollars for $4.50??

Even if they were all clad, they would still be worth $8.00!!!!!

As Howie Mandell likes to say: "You Made a GREAT Deal!!"

Silver closed today at 12.63 which makes 1964 JFKs worth about 4.57 each. Did you buy them for 4.50 each or 4.50 total? one way is a hell of a bargan the other is a wash.

My Prediction is this Summer Gas Prices will Double & so will Silver Prices with it.

Seems like a Decent deal to me.

What did the Silver Dollars sell for on an Average ?

I was there till around 11AM & got Bored.

Unfortunately I paid 4.50 each, but I dont plan on selling them anytime soon.

They sold them by allowing the highest bidder which was $12 (I think) to have his choice of as many off of the tray as he wanted for that amount and then they went down as far as $6 as the last coins, but unfortunately I had already spent my money and couldnt bid on any of them. It was a learning experience though.

$6.00 would have been a Steal.

Unfortunately, If You would have bid 6.50 someone would have bid 7 then you 7.50 & them 8 etc.

The person who Stole them at 6 Got lucky Nobody bid against him

Yea some of them looked ass if they were fresh off of the mint esp. a couple of the 1921s.
