This coin is an example of Machine doubling notice the flat shelf like appearance and lack of notching. Double dies are very hard for novice collectors to sort out but once you get the hang of it they are like night and day.

Thanks for the responses. What does one do with MD's. Just save them. Perhaps in a decade may be more collectible?

Only collectable to people that collect them. Not a true variety so won't truly ever be worth anything but one cent.
 
I completely agree that it is machine doubling, evidenced by the pancaked second image and the doubling on the mintmark. Put it on eBay for $5 listed as machine doubling very clearly and some ignorant collector will probably buy it. :laughing7:
