1969 Jets Super Bowl Ring Found and Returned

toro caca

It's a touchy feelie story, but why would you say BS. I believe I would return it, what conceivable good would it do you to keep it?

Really nice story. I wish they would have said how they found it.

How did they find it?...now I have to research the story to see how they found it. :BangHead:

it was the right thing to do, totally awesome.

A lifeguard named John Ernstberg found the ring and gave it to his wife, Mary. The couple died in the 1990s. Their great niece, Cindy Saffery, inherited the estate along with her husband and discovered the ring while sorting through the Ernstbergs' possessions. They took it to a jeweler, who confirmed its authenticity.

What a Great Story.

I wonder if most metal detectorist would have returned it? Glad it was returned to a guy who seamed to have a good heart. Also glad it was not being sold on that TV show Pawn Stars for $20,000.00.....

You don't have to worry about that, Ive never seen you post anything worth much....you don't get many replies because so many people have you on their ignore list...Ill take your bait, I get a kick out of your posts.

I don't feel I need the praise for my finds on here. I just like to ruffle feathers bc so many people have no sense of humor anymore these days.

I came back to delete my post because you were just giving your opinion.

To me...a super bowl ring is like a medal, it was earned.
I would find the owner..and spend some time doing so!
