Why are some E's crooked on the bottom and some normal?

Worn dies vs new dies. They don't last forever.

I agree with DoezerD.
As the dies age, they progressively lose their detail. This is called die deterioration.

Sort of like old codgers losing their details and go from 6 pack abs to 3 pack abs.
