Here is my most favorite vehicle and most prized treasure that my Grandpa gave me before he passed away. My Grandpa bought this truck new in 1972 from Whit Tatum Motors in Booneville, Arkansas. I think he paid $3200 for it. It has factory A/C, power disc brakes, power steering, 350 cu. in., TH350 auto. Its color scheme is two-tone ochre and white. Best of all, it only has 80,000 original miles, which it just turned this week. I drive this truck weekly. Right now it is sporting a lowering kit from Godfather customs. I know, I know....half of you are wanting to strangle me and the other half thinks....COOL! For those who want to hang me, I kept all of the stock suspension and could have it back to original in a matter of a few hours. When I finally hit paydirt with MDing, plans are in the works for a fuel injected small block...or BIG block, 700R4 overdrive tranny, tilt steering, and just an overall sprucing up. 37 years is starting to finally show in places, like rubber pieces, the dash, steering wheel, and paint. The truck has no rust, which most of these trucks suffer from. In case you can't tell....I LOVE THIS TRUCK!! :love10:

It's a Shame they don't make them like that ... any longer ...

I will admit ... I have a 2000 chevy truck with 130k on the clock ...

She is starting to force me to throw good money after bad ... She has been a good truck ...

Sorry to say I will not buy another ... Unless they include a free ride in the corporate jet to visit my family in Italy ...

Thanks Nick....your right, they don't make em like they used to. This truck actually survived baseball size hail in Witcherville, Ar back in the 70's. No dents!

I love it ! I have a '76 chevy pick up, and yes it's slammed on the ground too ! It's flat black, and has the red steel wheels, I am going to put some babymoons on one day ! It basically looks like a rat rod truck, the way I've got the paint scheme going right now, while I'm doing the body work.

Rat rods are coola$$. Gonna be getting a '28 model A this summer I'd like to rat rod. Thanks MC! Post some pics of you truck.

Thanks whitt! You can actually watch the gas gauge go down when you have your foot in the 4-barrel!

Yah, Nice p/u 72... probably drives like a dream!
I spent a lot of my high school years under a chevy, changing transmissions...

Must of missed your "self-deleted post". No prob though. I'm not brand loyal, but I do love this truck. Never had a problem with it. ;D 8)

Back then, GM was my choice. and I woulda broke a rock! ;D
But that's what I deleted...

Been running Fords for a number of years, now.

Sure is gonna be interesting to see if we even have a big three in a few years...

Love your truck....dad had one that was blue and he drove it until I was about 4 or 5...came and woke me up one morning and asked me what color truck we needed....I told him white...he said no...too hard to keep clean....then I said red....no too flashing and dulls too bad....so I said another blue one...no had blue for too long....need another color...so I said red, white, and blue...he said son, they dont make one like that...so we went to the Chevy dealer in Waldron and they had 4 1974 red, white and blue 3/4 tons and we left driving one....350/350 tranny....loved that truck....dad sold it and I didnt have the money for it...wish I could find it and buy it back...maybe one day I will find it...see ya later

Nice truck, I love the 68-72s. I have a '68 myself, but its currently in pieces.

my brother had one that was mint green metallic w/350. got about 12 mpg as long as you kept it below 55
after 65 you could almost watch the gas gauge drop while you were driving. it was cherry, until a little old lady in a LTD pulled out in front of him while he was doing about 45. DOH!!!!

Classic trucks are a pleasure to own, drive and are a black hole.

Here's my baby
