1974 series $100 bill

No pic, but I can offer this: If it is a STAR note or if it's in UNC-63 or better condition--keep it; otherwise, buy gasoline with it.
Don.....

Thank you, Don. It's not UNC, It has a X scribbled on the front in ink, and on the back it has the name of a Bank & Trust stamped on it. Also, what's a STAR note? Sorry for the questions, but I've never really looked at paper money as collectable. Thanks again.......................Well, I googled STAR NOTE and got my answer, it means that it was a replacement. Thanks, I've learned something today. By the way, mine isn't.

Ken,
Note the star at the end of this bill's serial number:
1976 $2 Star Note Two Dollar Bill Note G Mint Chicago
The star represents what is known as a replacement note. When a printing error occurs during a normal press run and renders a set of bills unusable, replacement notes are used instead. With replacements notes, a set of serial numbers can still have the proper number of bills even if some of the original bills had to be pulled.
Don...

Thanks Don. This is something that I had never heard before. I'm glad I asked about the bill, thus gaining a little knowledge in the process. Now to spend that 100.
