I have a 1989-D dime that i got in some change a few years ago that has a thick copper rim. The rim cuts off some of the 9 in 1989 and on the reverse the rim is right up against the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and cuts off some of the bottom of ONE DIME. I have read that it may be a bad planchet and some of the copper core has leaked out.Does this sound right and what kind of value would it have? The first pic shows the rim VS. a normal one.
