1994 Lincoln Question

Hi. I have a 1994 Lincoln with the date looking like it was printed L994 instead of 1994.
The horizontal line on the "L" is embossed.
Please see and zoom in on photos.
I do not have a magnifier but plan to purchase one to make sure I am seeing correctly.
Does anyone know of others that were printed like this, and if this penny is worth anything?

It is hard to say for sure from the pictures whether it is a plating issue or possibly a small die chip. Either way it does not add any value to the coin, so it is worth one cent.

I can tell that something is going on with the bottom of the "1". Sorry to say that the images are not good enough to say for sure. My default opinion on Zincolns with similar visual cues is plating. There are thousands, if not at least tens of thousands, of Zinclons with plating issues for each with a genuine error.

I agree its likely a die crack or something to that effect. Its not likley worth much more than 1 cent.

Look at the "L" in the word LIBERTY.
That "L" is a true strike that took place at the mint.
The defect you see at the "1" is a plating defect.

Look up "cud" references to coins it looks like a cud a die flaw or slight build up on the striking plate, causing a small error.

It is not a cud, a cud is on the edge of a coin where a piece of the die has broken away. A cud always involves the edge of a coin.
