Good thread, I did not even know a Denver mint variety existed, and I have looked at the 1995's and have yet to find one. Maybe it is because I don't check them with a loupe? If I ever find one I'll let you know. I was thinking of just buying a MS66 or 67 of the 1995 on eBay for $50-$75.

Yeah...I just looked at some on eBay, and I'm sure I have missed some. Those are nearly impossible to spot without using a loupe.

I am a cent searcher as well. I have found some machine doubling on a 1995 D. But never an actual double die.

I used to look for those but I stopped, the doubling is pretty subtle

Personally, I think I'm just going to buy myself one of those MS66RD PCGS examples for $75.

Why not just buy this one? You'd be the only one on the block with a 69. Offer the guy $25k.

Really though, don't pay $75 for a 66. That's to much. I have a 66 & I paid $40 for it, and it's in an old green pcgs holder - looks like a 67. The price guide only lists it at $65.

I know, I just gave a high eatimate. I would just bid on one on eBay and try to get a nice 66 or 67 for under $50.

And who the heck is going to pay...$27,500 for that?! And really it's necessary to charge the guy $25 shipping? :P

What a freakin ripoff. I give free shipping to anything over 15 bucks.

$25 shipping. That is called insured and registered I'm sure. Registered is $11 extra.

Yeah, but still the guy is paying $27,500 for the coin, he can't just provide all of that for free???

I agree, I would not take $25 for the shipping, at the price of that auction.

What's a Double D mean?

Found this one after searching boxes of cents and never finding a DDO. I was at the auto parts store getting brake pads for my car and received it in my change although not in the best shape it was still very cool. Sorry about the pics but thats what happens when im forced to photograph my own coins.....lol

1995-D Doubled Die Cent- DDO-003

I know this post is a few years old but I found a 1995-D Doubled Die Obverse in a Customer Wrapped roll a few weeks ago. :happysmiley:

Here are some pics.

The doubling is very pronounced on the Motto.

According to the PCGS Coin facts, less than 100 of these have been reported in any grade.
