1997 D penny

Today I found a 1997 D penny that rings up on my M.D. as aluminum not zink I put several zink coins past the coil & they ring up as 77 & the 1997 D rings up as 73 on a Teknetics delta 4000. Does any one have some advice as to what to do next.

Ive found zincolns that read 3 or 4 numbers low on my AT PRO and couldn't figure out why.

Yea I have a fisher F75 limited and I get penny's, say 10% that ring up in the dime quarter range? I think I'm digging a dime/quarter and it turns out to be a penny...yes I recheck the hole. And they are all modern penny's as well.
