1st 14K

Hunted in the wood that used to be a ballfield.
Most of the coins here are late 1800s to 1920ish
So i think this ring ,my first is on the older side .
Its marked 14 p/k thats p over k
Has a different inscription [ Mother to Elton ]
That plus one wheaty was good enough for me .

I believe 14K were introduced in the 1930's. Before that 15k were common. It's a very nice find.

Thanks for the info .
After thinking about it ,a mother must have given to older child /young adult
because of its size.Cant get my pinky thru it.
But it is heavy. Must have been a special event.
