1ST 1860's coin for the year
Finding this 1866 I.H. yesterday at a site I've been pounding this summer was a good feeling.
Hunted for 2 hours and only had 3 cents to show for it (2mems. also). This morning I had an
hour to hunt and found this 6" scale, made of brass or copper, was bent into a u shape
when I dug it. Then the 1916 Buff., had to get the loop out and check for the double die, another
teaser coin no double die. All the other stuff I've dug since my last post from the same site. The
Elephant head W/horse shoes is a strange combo, by the looks of the short chain attached it
looks to be a key chain and the ring was sterling with some junk stones, one fell out as I was
fixing the ring to be round again. So far this year I been lucky to find a coin from every decade
staring with the 1853 LC. HH DFW
