Using my ace 250. Could only do dry sand. But found some possible gold. Many coins. A 925 necklace. Bout $10 in change. Here's the pics. And can anyone tell me where I can find a used Whites Beach Hunter ID? 1st time on the beach?

That is a mighty nice hunt for your first time. You must have found a nice un-hunted to death spot of beach.

I can't wait to see your 2nd hunt!

Congrats on the great finds.

Thanks a lot. That was over three days so not completely as impressive as it sounds. But if I could get in the ocean I would have found more. But I can't seem to find a used water detector.

You found a good stretch of beach. Wow!

Congrats on a few productive few hunts.
I use the Excalibur in salt water.
You will also need a good heavy duty sand scoop.

Will be heading back in a few weeks to that same beach. Now I have a salt water detector so I can actually get in and I also bought a heavy duty shovelImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1490807711.998533.webp

Days or not, thats an awful lot to find on most any beach.

You do know you can go in the water with the 250 so long as you don't dunk the control box, right ?

Used water detectors are hit and miss, if none here then craigslist/ebay are about the only options.

What machine did you get?

I don't think the ACE series would do well in salt water. I know that it doesn't do well in mineralized ground, either, so I can imagine in salt water it'd freak out.

The ace 250 was horrible in salt water no matter what sensitivity or discrimination. I went with a beach hunter just to see. I'll be going with an excal very soon
