1st box of halves

Well just picked up and checked my 1st box of halves. No pre 1970 pieces but (1) 1974 1 Colon from the Republica De Costa Rica. Also some post 2001 pieces; (1) 2003F, (2) 2004D, (2) 2006F, (1) 2007D, (1) 2008D & (1) 2011F. According to the "Beginners Guide" thread, "Also, all have dollars dated after 2001 were not made for circulation and are worth keeping."

Looking forward to getting my next box later this afternoon or tomorrow.

whether they are worth keeping is debatable. Some keep them, many keep the best of each year/mintmark, some throw em all back. Keep em for a while and after you've done more boxes, you can decide for yourself. best of luck. FYI, I think we've reached a point where more boxes are skunks than not.

LOL...I did that on all of them. Anyways I will see if my coin friend wants them, I'm not a coin collector and really only looking for silver. Thanks.

Those two letters are pretty close together on the key board, eh?

Germany has an "F" mintmark. I believe it is for Stuttgart.
