Love seeing all the great finds but it’s time I post some of my own. Finally able to get out on a 220 year old farm that I secured permission over the summer. Really junkie around the house since it was lived in throughout the 1900’s but managed to pull out a bunch of Wheaties, an old Jefferson, a cast toy cowboy, and a beautiful skeleton key although it has a slight bend in it. Haven’t figured out the cheat code yet for the yard but I know there has to be some old coins around. Finally pulled a Draped Bust Half Cent from beneath a pine tree root which got the juices flowing again. Got a perfect quarter signal 3 inches down and knew it was going to be new but I dug it anyway. Pulled out a state quarter than found the 1906 Indian 5 inches below it. Newer signals were masking the deeper ones.

Gave the yard a rest and spot checked the vast fields that surround the home. Soybeans were still up but I was able to find some barren areas that I could get a small coil in. Decided to dig all non-ferrous targets and was rewarded with an 1862 Fatty Indian and a fired musket ball. I dug what I originally thought was a CW bullet but it didn’t have the white patina and seemed a little larger. Maybe an old buffalo bullet? Tell me what you think. An hour later I dug the 1847 Large Cent and decided to call it a day. Thanks for looking and hope to share some more if they ever harvest the soybeans!

Awesome finds

Some great finds. I like the pottery with a nice scenery.

The bullet diameter and weight would help someone ID it. It appears badly corroded so likely is old.

Very nice finds. I imagine there is still more to be found. I usually revisit a productive site , but walk it at a crisscross pattern then when I did the first day. Do you detect with a Fisher F-75 ? Thats a great machine, my first detector was a Fisher F4. Good post !

Great recoveries! Congratulations! I love the coins!

Great finds - congrats !

Nice first finds. Hope you have many more

Yep, the F75 Ltd. My mother had an old Fisher that I took over when I was in high school, was gifted another Fisher years later, and eventually bought my F75 5-6 years ago. I guess you can say I’m biased with the Fisher since I’ve been using one up until I recently turned 50 but very curious about other brands especially since all you hear about are the Minelab detectors. Just wish the F75 was weatherproof. It’s been very good to me.
