Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Detecting friend found a few old buttons here. Figured I'd check it out. Early site with trails. Public. Figured I wouldn't get much. I was very wrong. No idea on them tin candy? Tobacco? Was near the toy gun handle. Crossed the stream and into the trail head. Heavy chrome plated pants button. Sadly no markings, a really cool token for Bernard and Friedmann Taners Boston and their best shoe leather Titan circa 1890s. 1911 wheat penny wasn't deep neither was token. Then out popped something big and green. Not in the greatest shape. The ground is always wet because of the shade and stream. But that back is pretty good and at we have a date. 1838. My oldest coin. Looking like I have to go back.
