Hugh C. Reilly is listed in the 1912 Bradstreet as a saloon in Kansas City. 2½¢ tokens were used primarily to make change for 2/5¢ or 2/25¢ purchases. Some places with pool tables were known to charge 2½¢ for cue rental.

Missouri is one of the states that has no published reference so rarity and value are not going to be easy to figure out.

two for a nickle item --- or for a 7 1/2 cent item --give a 2 1/2 cent token --insures they come back with 5 more cents for another one . :icon_thumright: great make em come back to shop at your place ploy .--- like gas stations of today that do not fill their reciept machines on the "pump" ---and when you push yes you want a reciept go say ---"reciept" inside --they hope you go inside and buy a "impluse" item --more cash for them --if not they save the cost of the paper from printing a "reciept"--a cent here --a dollar there it all adds up. :icon_thumright:

i didn't catch the kc, mo at first. ::)

great to get it id'd tokensmith. saloon tokens are popular. better with saloon on them. sort of like a soda sign having the bottle is much better than not having it.
