Pretty good day o' searchin'. $1000 drained from the slots produced five 40% (65, 67x3, 68) and a 1996-S proof. $40 in nickels was good as well -

I've always kept track of the lowest mintage US coin I've found CRH-ing. For years the reigning champ was a 1924-D Lincoln cent (mintage: 2,520,000). Then I found a 2002-S proof nickel (2,277,720) in August of 2002 which became the lowest. Until December 2006 that is, when a 2005-S proof Kennedy half (2,275,000) dropped into my slot machine tray. Then two months later I found my first 1970-D Kennedy (2,150,000) that I really thought would be tough to beat. Well, its title of lowest mintage lasted five whole days! Today's 1996-S proof Kennedy (1,750,244) not only beats it, but crashes thru the 2 million barrier. The only Kennedys that will beat it now are the silver proofs.
