2 boxes with Gold Coin

In my previous write up I Found a Gold Coin in one of my boxes My son and I went through the rest and found 1993s Proof, 1964 proof, 52 Benjamin, 1-1964 90% and 10-40% and of course the gold coin not bad for a nights work, and I might have gotten my son hooked as well.

Nice bunch of finds! Those gold halves have been discovered by other roll hunters too (though I haven't found one yet). The concensus seems to be that they're electroplates.

How could you tell that your 64 was a proof?

Squared edges when you're looking at the sides is the one that stands out to me, then I check it for an S mintmark. You will see more detail too, even if the coin is worn a bit.

The 64 had a very mirrored backgroung you could see yourself although it wasn't frosted you could still tell it was a proof I will post some pictures of them.
