The flashlight is still standard issue. I got mine when I enlisted in 1994 and use it when I night detect. The bottom part unscrews and there should be 4 or 5 "filters" in there which you can change out on the light. I wish it were brighter, I use it with the red filter for night detecting on the beach.

Cool finds. Nothin beats a head lamp on ur noggin when you need both ur hands tho

I like the sling buckle, it could be your best find.

I don't believe my flashlight works anymore but it is still a cool relic. I would love to use it for night detecting. Thanks for your service.

Thats true. It is hard to use a flah light and dig at the same time.

I used to have a really old flashlight like that, and I must have owned at least half a dozen new ones in 20 years of military. The older ones doesn't have protective "ears" on both sides of the switch to protect it.

Thanks for your service! I didn't see any protective ears. I think I got a keeper!

That is a nice hodge podge of finds. Excellent hunting!

Thanks! I always get a variety of finds from the dump I check. I hardly ever find two or more of the same relics while digging.

The buckle is a Sam Browne buckle which was a belt worn by law enforcement and the military as early as WW1. You nailed it! The Cannonball guy gave me alot of info about it.

Awesome old dump site, I hope you find more good finds.

Hey........Nice Moon Beam.....!
