Relic Hunting
After seven days of rain and heavy NE winds, tidal flooding, flash floods, etc the weather finally broke today and I got out to get my "fix." It helped tremendously and I scored some more flat buttons, brass whatizs, couple of small buckles, and a nice 1903 Indian Head Penny. Headed back out tomorrow for a few hours to see what else I can manage from the ground. Thanks for looking and HH to all! Live video on my Youtube page Wes-N-VA.

Cool finds but I'm honestly admiring your soil more. I wish the soil up north was as nice.

Nice finds, glad to hear you got back out.

now that looks like a good hunt there. I bet you had a blast. Congrats.

The soil here is wonderful, sandy loam! You do not even need a shovel. Thanks and HH

Lev I could not stand it anymore. A whole week of rain and being huddled up at home or the fire station was killing me. Yesterday wasa nice surprise to see the sun again. I wake up this morning and load the machines and equipment and guess what? Freaking raining again, I am over it :censored: Thanks again!

Yeah, I know how you feel! I work 10 hour days, so my week is shot for hunting. Add the fact that it was raining all weekend, I just have to hope and pray that it doesn't decide to do the same this coming up weekend!! The itch to hunt is really getting to me! :laughing9:

I have hunted in the rain and I don't mind it at times. I just don't like getting mud and junk all over my equipment and the general feeling of being wet and dirty does not appeal to me much. I did go out today and got a few scores until it was just to much with the wind blowing the rain sideways lol. Plus, I do not want to take a chance and ruin a $1200 E-trac :laughing7: No AT Pro here!

Very nice finds my friend! I am also jealous of your soil, I have very tough compacted dry almost clay like dirt. Why don't you hunt in the rain? Get a cover for your machine and go at it, I love the rain!
