My friends talked me in to using landscape flags yesterday. Really helped me to stay in one area, instead of bouncing around. Found the 4 goodies in a 15 sq foot area. Got a soft spot for old shot shells to.

Nice digs, good technique using the flags

those little flags r in the back of the jeep for next hunt...have slowed down my swing alittle and over lapping twice now.

Sweet three ringer!

Nice looking three ringer. Do the drunken sailor grid myself! Good luck on your next hunt!

I'm with leslie except sometimes I drag my boots a bit, its almost a habit ! Can often tell where I have been =)

I drape my scoop or shovel so I can tell where I've been as well. Public parks, I use flags as markers

The "3 ringer" is a .52 Sharps ringtail guys. My 4th. My buddies havent found one yet.. But 1 of my friends has found numerous Federal Sharps. I want one of those.

I bounce around, but in one general area and then move to the next. Essentially, my gridding is tirelessly walk in a circle until there isn't another signal and fan out. Like a bird with a maimed wing, I will loop the loop and then move a little ways and do it all over again.

Very cool finds, I love the Civil War era eagle button!
