2 silver and other stuff

Got out for about 2 hrs yesterday. Went to a city park that has been around for a long time...I've seen pics of it from the early 1900's. The ground was hard and pretty much frozen in some spots and in other places it was pretty soft and there were ALOT of geese around...and LOTS of goose poop! I HATE goose poop!
I found some clad, a toy airplane, a crappy fake ring...gold plating was flaking off and it was rusty.
The good finds were a 1952 Rosie, a 1945 Merc. in pretty bad shape...it has something on it that I can't wash off plus I scratched the back of it when I was digging as it was in an area where the ground was VERY hard. And even though it's not silver or anything the 1941 Nickel was cool just because it's so old. The area shows some promise and I'll go back again...

Thanks! I found the silver fairy in a school playground this past summer...she rocks! (plus she brings me luck...lol)

I had to crack up about the goose poop! We get tons of Canadian geese here in the winter (Colorado) and every open space I metal detect has LOTS of 'fertilizer'. Their poop is so big it looks like a flock of DOGS landed there. I was MDing in a park the other day and the park was named for the baseball player Goose Gossage. Of course there were geese and geese droppings everywhere. So now instead of saying "goose poop" I call it "goose gossage."
