Hey folks!

Had a flexible workday so I took off after lunch to do some hunting. Ended up in a good little pocket and pulled up a good number of oldies.

Here’s the total take:

Here’s a close up of the 39-D Merc (hadn’t found that date previously!), 925 ring and relics including an old cross and a couple of buttons. Does anyone know what the King George’s VI button is? At first I thought it could possibly be Canadian military? Maybe it’s just decorative? Looks like the bust you’d see on Canadian coins of that era.

Here’s a close up of the 925 ring. It’s pretty small. Pretty much just rang up as a penny.

Here are the 10 wheats. Most are from the 40s/50s. The oldest are 1918 and 1918-S.

I didn’t get a close up of the 46 Jefferson of the tax tokens. I think you know what those look like! Haha.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting all.

Some more silver, wheats, tax tokens, cross and buttons. Good going, washingtonian.

Very Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Nice silvers and other recoveries. I bet you have a bucket full of those tax tokens.

Nice batch of "afterwork goodies!

I am guessing that the button is a fashion button similar to these:

Nice finds, that button is cool!

Nice digs Wash, the KG buttons are decorative I think, I have one kicking around here somewhere ( not dug) no idea where it came from but probably belonged to my dad at some point

Washingtonian you had a great day today I have to admit a marble is the cherry on top for any hunt

Top notch finds W.

Definitely not Canadian although it is of course close. The legend isn’t quite right though. I think the button is modeled after a British coin but can’t tell from the picture which as I’m not super familiar with coin sizes from Britain.

Found this using the legend...
