Found these two wheats in a roll today. In the same roll believe it or not! I am not knowledgeable in error coins. I read somewhere that clipped planchets can be straight, rounded, or jagged. So coin experts, what's the verdict?

If you're looking for an expert opinion, I say "I'm no expert". If you're looking for an informed opinion, I say "Those coins look clipped to me". And nice find, btw! :occasion14:

I asked my coin store owner one time if I had found a clipped planchet and he said the only way to tell is if it came out of a box of newly minted coins. It's impossible to know.

Those are definitely clipped planchets!:headbang:
Nice find!

Thus the reason to not listen to most coin shop owners. Most of them know nothing about coins, just buying and selling silver. There are ways to tell whether they are clips or not.
