$20 Worth Nickles=1 Buffalo

Found this in $20 worth of nickles I got from our local back. Also found a 1940, and a couple 1946's. This was a surprise. I didn't think Buffalo Nickles would be in bank rolls anymore. This one is dated 1936. Made my day to find it.

I remember when I was in Jr High school (mid-70s) during the morning recess break our history teacher used to sell snacks (bags of popcorn, pretzels, etc.) and had a little flunkie student (a guy I couldn't stand) helping him. They had a small cigar-style box filled with coins to make change and there was almost always a buffalo amongst them. I'd beg and beg the teacher for it but he'd just tell me to get lost (I had a great capacity for whining back then! ). Whenever I had money to buy stuff his flunkie helper would deliberately not give me the buffalo in my change. I like to think the buffalos I've found over the years are those I never got back then.
