IMHO, it appears to be a Die Adjustment Strike thus the weak details and lettering on the Obverse.

Iceteck, Can you tell us what the dealer said? Did he sell you this coin or did you go in for an appraisal/offer? Your thread title and lack of detail provided would lead us to assume you don't have much information.
