This is a retro compilation off my '05 totals now that there's a board for it.
2005 was a landmark year because in addition to my regular penny and nickel casino searching I got into half dollar hunting for the first time.
***PENNIES***
No idea how many wheaties I found this year but records show the oldest was 1930-S so whatever searching took place probably wasn't that thorough.
***NICKELS***
Liberty: 1899
Buffalo: 1913 (Type 2)
Wartime (15): 1943-P (3), 1943-S (4), 1944-P (3), 1944-D (1), 1945-P (2), 1945-S (2)
Proof: 1994-S
1949-S roll completed
***HALVES***
From February 17 to August 23 I did a $5,000 casino survey of half dollars, $100 at a time. It was an eye-opening introduction into what is still out there.
Results:
Walker: 1942 (to this day my one and only Walker)
Franklin: 1952
90%: 1964-D
40% (20): 1965 (4), 1966 (1), 1967 (4), 1968-D (7), 1969-D (4)
Proof: 1971-S, 1973-S, 1976-S, 1989-S
NIFC: 2002-D
No half dollars totals beyond that except for a late December T-Net contest that netted me 17 more 40%ers for a total of at least 37 for the year.
***FOREIGN***
Added Saudi Arabia to my list of "Found in Slots" countries.
Most importantly, I was introduced to T-Net and all the fine people associated with it. After a lull in my casino searching it motivated me to step things up.
