2009 cent

Does anyone keep the 2009 cents? I've got half a roll after 2 boxes. Thoughts or comments??

Way too many out there. As you said, you have half a roll after only 2 boxes.

the 2009 nickel I have 3/4 a roll after 74 boxes. MUCH harder to find. Same with the dimes.

Save the 2009 nickels and dimes. Don't save the pennies. Over 2 billion pennies minted in 2009. 85 million nickels. Much lower. And harder to find, so you won't be putting too much away anyway. IMHO. :-)

The 2009 P Dime is actually VERY common for me in NYC. i have about 15 2009 P's after about only 2 boxes. i think the mint lied when it said only 146 million were made

I collect the 2009 cents. I only do it because I like the way they look. They won't be worth any extra in the future.

Maybe someone dumped their hoard of 2009 dimes, since they are not common here.

I usually find more wheats than 2009s in boxes I've done....I save the 2009s and do think they will be worth slightly more than avg cents at some pt.

I've been saving the 2009s for a while. I'm not necessarily speculating that they'll be worth a whole lot, but they do seem slightly scarcer than most of the newer years, and the four designs makes it a little interesting. I'd like to maybe compile a roll of each variety in uncirculated condition - that's the other issue, the lots of the 2009s seem to be in surprisingly poor condition compared to other newish years.

I've seen a lot of regional difference in reporting on 2009 dimes and nickels. I think maybe they just didn't get circulated as widely or something.
