2009 Nickels !

Have not heard any posts of findings of the 2009 nickels. Are they that rare, or no one interested anymore. I'm saving all my 2009 cents & dimes, of which seem to be declining drastically as we continue to stack. Still think they will become semi-keys as years go on.

There were 39 million nickels minted in 2009. That may be low compared to other runs of the modern era. But look at the mint numbers in the 50s. And those nickels are barely worth face value 65 years later

Everyone saves them because they are different. Like they did with the Bicentennial coins... There were so many of them made they will NEVER go up in value. Just my opinion.

I have been setting them aside lately just the dimes and nickels. I may start to actually collect the 2005 nickels and get a roll of each of those because they are more interesting and different not because I think they will be worth something in 50 years which I doubt they will be.
