My first year metal detecting! $27 in quarters, $14 in dimes, 38 nickels, 345 pennies, 13 wheat pennies, 3 Mercury dimes, 1 silver Roosevelt dime, 1 war nickel, a really cool brass lock plate and some miscellaneous pieces of silver and gold.
All of this was found at a local park built in the 1930s. The deepest find was about 6". My thinking is there must be older coins deeper and my BH Sharp Shooter can't see it.
I want to upgrade to an AT Pro this year. Should I be looking at any other detectors in the same price range as the AT Pro? I am mostly interested in old coins but I also go camping in the Gold Country a lot. Water proof is a big plus for me because when it rains nobody goes to the park and I like the rain...
