Thank you! After hours and hours of research I discovered this powder flask is from the civil war era! I saw the same one at the largest musem in my state in a powder fask exhibit.

Thanks Dave, the box is a silver lipstick tube from the early 1900s. I found this checking around a trash dump from the 1890s to 1960s. This item is probably in my top 15 favorite finds from the last 2 years.

That is extremely cool! I believe it is for an icebox but am not sure. Thanks for sharing!
