didn't get out as much as I wanted - but I'm sure I'm not the only one
I think I got out 47 times = 8 land - 39 water
most times if I didn't get gold - I got silver
hoping to get out more this year

I know we'd all like to get out a bit more! Nice year. Love the buttons!

Casper, great finds. Can you explain the musket balls? Are the dark ones water finds, and the brown dry land?

That does not suck. [emoji3]

Wow. Congratulations. What is your average hunt time each time you go out?

The finds would make anyone proud. Interesting mixture and variety. You prove the saying - if you find sinkers you'll find gold.

YES - GREYS ARE FROM SALTWATER SPOTS AND BROWNS ARE FROM COLONIAL FARM FIELDS

NOW A DAYS - I'D SAY ABOUT 4 HRS - GOT A LOT OF HEALTH ISSUES - ALOT OF MY MEDS - IM NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN SUNLIGHT
ONE OF MY MEDS DOES NOT GO WELL WITH SALT WATER AND I THROW UP AFTER A FEW HOURS IN - MASKS IT TOUGH
TO HOOKAH OR SNUBA - DONT NEED TO BE OUT FAR IN 7-8 FT OF WATER AND PUKE IN MY RESPIRATOR
GONNA TRY DOIN SOME DEEPER WATER HUNTS THIS YR- I GOT HAND FULL OF AREAS THAT HAD LONG PIERS THAT ARE LONG GONE AND THAT HAD SWIM PLATFORMS - AND THESE ARE VIRGIN SPOTS - SO HOPING I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU THIS YEAR - SUPPOSED TO GO LOOTING WITH OBN IN APR
SO HOPING TO GET SOME GOLD DOWN THAT WAY

Wow. Congratulations. What is your average hunt time each time you go out?

Sorry to hear about your health issues. It can't be fun. I hope they get resolved. Good luck on those virgin spots

Casper, you know how to hunt! You make me want to use the CZ20 more. My CZ goes deep, but don't use it much at the beach. I'm always choosing the excal. One reason is my cz falses more in the wave wash than the excal. The other reason is I used the excal first at the beach and has did well. I often wonder if the CZ would do better or is it back to who gets their coil over it first. I know most finds both machines would work.

I think it because it likes to false to much with wave action. But I'm running in dis.

Anyway. my point, you are ROCK IT and proves Fishers are awesome in the right hands!

It comes down to what you like and what works for you
I follow like 20 guys with Excals - I don't think Ive ever been in the water with another CZ20/21
unless its someone I let borrow one of mine (got 3 CZ21s)
I find deep and old stuff behind them - but I hunt in all metal - bunch of those guys will crank
their discrim. and when they do I think they lose depth - I don't hit in the surf much either
my Pi used to false a lot in the surf too - Im a waist deep to over my head type hunter
only hit shallows if its torn up from storm or virgin spot (which are rare as hens teeth up here)
the CZs sound like my first machines from the 70s as a kid and those were non discrim. machines
and I use them in pretty much the same way - I did very well as a kid using mine in all metal
and earned a lot of respect from older hunters back then in my early teens with nice finds
I know that there are many that use the CZs wrong and that's why they don't like them and move on to something else
its all in learning your machine what ever it may be

Casper, you starting a fishing shop? I don't take pictures of my lead and most lures, that is impressive! You did great for the the times you got out. Love your arrangement.

WHEN I WAS YOUNGER - IF LURES AND LEAD RE USEABLE - I KEEP SOME FOR MY TACKLE BOX - OTHERS WOULD BE SOLD AT TAG SALE
- BAD LEAD WOULD BE SOLD FOR SCRAP - OLD BRASS LURES WOULD GOIN THE SCRAP
THEN ME AND MY STEP FATHER STARTED TO MELT THE LEAD AND MAKE MUSKET BALLS FORBLACK POWDER - THEN WE TOOK THE LEAD
GOOD AND BAD AND MELTED INTO SEA SINKERS THAT WAY WE COULD GET TOP DOLLAR FOR NEW ONES - THENWHEN I GOT MY HOOKAH - I NEEDED A WEIGHT BELT - MELTED THEM AND MADE BUNCH OF BELT WEIGHTS - NOW I JUST PUT THEM IN SMALL BUCKETS AND THEY WILL GO TOWRDS RETIREMENT FUND - USED TO PUT THEM IN LARGER BUCKETS OR CONTAINERS - BUT THEM COULD NOT BUDGE THEM - BOUT 50% OF MY LURES ARE GOOD
WILL SELL THEM DOWN THE ROAD - SOME I'LL NEED TO REPLACE HOOKS - BUT THATS JUST A SMALL FEE - OTHERS WILL BE SCRAPPED
ALL ADDS TO THE REWARDS OF THE HOBBY
