Good morning all,

I hope everyone is doing well. I was hoping that someone on this site could help me out to identify what kind of error a us quarter I have is. For context the quarter is a 2016 Fort Moultrie P mint mark. Ive tried to lookup what kind of error it is with no success. Pictures don’t do this quarter justice. Please see attached pictures and thanks in advance

In my opinion, this is just discoloration to the clad coating caused by some type of environmental source. Maybe if it had a more copper color it could be a planchet missing its clad layering. Sorry for bring in bad news.
