I was wondering what 22 lbs. of polished brass is worth?

Thanks,
Bill

Remember, there is 2 categories of brass--yellow brass an red brass

Thats right , polished tarnished or wearing a pink ribbon, its just scrap for the smelter. Here in Australia last weeks price from SIMS metals was 2.40 / Kg or about US$ 1 / Lb.
I like brass as its common and has a high density .
My main source of brass is old plumbing fittings that I cut off copper pipes. Red brass ( gunmetal/bronze) I never see. I believe its popular in graveyards.

Red brass here in the US is what a lot of water valves and other plumbing things are made of.
