WOW! Thanks Dane! :o
This is my first 22k or better piece of gold! Found it deep in a cut at an old historic beach where many old tickets have been found! Would really love to find out more about the ring...... if only it could speak! :laughing9:

I though it was 22 or better the first time I saw it. If I knew how to vote banner I would to :hello2:

Beautiful ring.

Probably not 24 karat - simply because it would be so soft that it would bend, nick and such.

However - still looks like high quality to me. I'm checking my catalogues of makers marks, but nothing matches up yet. (I get cross-eyed looking at them after awhile :laughing7:)

To vote for BANNER, go to the original post, under the avatar, at the bottom, you will see "nominate for banner" You can click on it, like I just did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you mind if I sent a picture of the hallmark of your ring to a friend of mine? He does that for a living - and he might know faster than I would.

Thanks,

Beth

Beth thank you so much for spending your time researching!!! Please show your friend and lets hope he can help identify the ring!
This is such a great hobby even after finding the treasure you can find out more about what you found!

p.s. I had posted originally on water & beach under.... Winter season with a Bang

I am wondering if those are Chinese or possibly Japanese chop marks. My dad used to have a chain and each link had a chop mark and a .9999 (I think it was 4 nines) on it. He said it was 24kt gold.

I'm just curious, please don't take this the wrong way - not trying to be a jerk
I'm just trying to educate myself on this site
the ring would be a good example for me to understand the rules
This ring made the banner?
It was not stated as a found item - doesn't need to be found?
Found how? Is it gold?
has anyone identified the ring or the markings?
Please don't bash my on my query
I certainly not questioning the item, just seems quick to post to the banner
