2nd day digging all signals; more silver plus fun bonus pic

Well, only one piece of silver today, but it's a first for me; never found a necklace before. It's marked 925 and has a Star of David. Also found a small ring that I believe is silver-plated brass. And lots of clad and pull tabs, of course.



Lastly, I had heard of this happening, but had never encountered it myself, until today: a root grown through a pull tab.

The summer heat is pretty bad, but mostly it's the humidity. At least yesterday I thought to bring a towel to sop up the quarts of sweat I was producing, but it wasn't long before that was totally soaked and useless.

Love the picture of the root going through the pull tab. Looks like you've been digging in the same type of areas I've been digging lately, a lot of roots to work through. Makes it tough sometimes to get a coin out without hitting it with a digger.

Maybe that why we find so many, the trees are starting to immitate our trash as their seeds and roots. I always said its only a matter of time before there is soda can shaped rats Dang you darwin!!!!
