so after my first outing in my yard earlier this week, it has rained since, and I watched videos on how to correctly use/learn my detector. this time I had a bit of a clue to what I was doing. lol. here's some pics...

-the last pic was the last item dug. it was about a foot deep, laying flat. it's a square sheet of metal backing with the grooved rubber on top. can't read the insignia. has 2 holes on the top(or bottom) corners for screws or mounting. measures 11.5" x 9.5"
any ideas?

edit: figured out what the 4th picture's rectangular item is!! i saw a seam around the top/"button" area. used a razor blade to pry it open. unfortunately, i chipped a small corner off the base portion. and the verdict is...it's an old lipstick container! smelled surprisingly pleasant too! added pics below

Looks like my second day out.

Good Job!! Only 1 pull tab, and 11 cents in clad is an excellent ratio.......and removing all the nails and other scrap metal can uncover even deeper coins as your experience improves.......Thanks for posting, and please keep the great pictures and postings coming.....as you venture out.....a lot of early history in the NJ area......Good Luck !!

Happy Hunting to ALL

Bill
