2 days after finding my first ever silver coin--a merc--I found another merc today!
I went 4 months finding no silver coins(approx 150 hours of detecting), and now I've found 2 in 3 days. It must be all luck! The 2nd merc was found in a different location then the first. Today, in 3 hours, I dug(or spotted on top of the ground) 46 coins-- for an average of approximately 15 coins per hour.
The haul for the day:
3 clad quarters
6 clad dimes
1 mercury dime 194x
1 wheat penny 1950 D
35 memorial pennies
Thankyou for all the congratulation replies I received a couple of days ago--it keeps me going and adds to the fun.
